Sandals and Watershoes - For Her

Telic Flip Flop

Marketed as a post-exercise "recovery show", the Flip Flop from Telic is remarkable. Firstly I find it wonderfully comfortable, and secondly, it hugs and conforms to the foot in a way that seems improbable for a flip-flop. It's almost the opposite of barefoot technology - this is footwear that enables you to go virtually barefoot, while providing impressive amounts of walking stability. This comes from a deep heel cup and aggressive arch support. This might no suit everyone, but I often use orthopaedic support in my walking boots, so they work really well for me, and give me the kind of comfort that I couldn't get from wearing ordinary sandals. They are also fabulously light and packable, making them an easy addition to a traveller's wardrobe.
